The growth is the main characteristic of Limsi's evolution these last years, as it appears in the increase of the number of researchers.

In order to continue to provide the researchers with the same help in the administrative data and documentation fields, the administrative support has to be more efficient with a high performance data processing environment, a well adapted communication and documentation service and a pleasant surrounding.

This year, we needed to be helped by temporary secretaries and people who are employed with the status of "Solidarity-Employment-Contracts". The expenditure for these salaries rose this year to 130KF.

This kind of employment is not systematically used at Limsi. But the laboratory offers them the possibility to work with a great choice of computer facilities and to have special training courses organised by the CNRS.

Maintenance of the building (J.C. Jézéquel, P. Durand)

The total expenditures for the building works amounts to 511KF, 10% more than in 1994, mainly for electricity works and replacement of old windows.

Library (G. Lacoste)

The budget of the library raises this year to 318 KF (24% more than in 1993) with an important expenditure for reviews subscriptions (258 KF). We can also mention the important number -566- of article copies which were ordered to the CNRS Documentation Center "INIST" in Nancy.

Communication (Sophie Pageau-Maurice)

Our internal newspaper "Limsi infos" has now reached the ndeg.100. 851 copies of our Scientific Report were sent, and 354 copies were adressed to our foreign colleagues.

The diffusion of information has been improved too, through the Electronic Mail and the management of notice boards.

Training program (M. Méheut)

The nomination of a "training correspondent" for the laboratory allows us to manage in better conditions the requests for training courses and to lead specific actions in the field of a new training program.

Audio-visual activities (G. Chastagner)

142 KF were given to this service for 1994 essentially for buying a video recorder, an editing film table and a monitor. 4 new films were produced, two for each research department.

Guy Chastagner, in close collaboration with the audio-visual team of the university of Orsay keeps on working and contributed technically to produce a film ("the Docetaxel", co-production CNRS/UPS/Rhône-Poulenc).
